You can't make bricks without straw.

[proverb nothing can be made or accomplished without proper or adequate material or information.]

Popping up a whole bunch of photos to chronicle our consideration of brick colour. If there was a point where you have spent too much time thinking about brick colour, we possibly have spent more than that on this topic.
Austral Elements Brick Range

Austral Access Brick Range
Access Fawn is one of our favourites right now - and at Aug '11, is Cat 2 in the Optima Nuovo range. $783 to upgrade a Drysdale 30.

Austral  Symmetry Brick Range,
Don't like any of these but added just as a resource.

Austral  Melbourne 76 Brick Range
This range is a huge upgrade from memory. Not in our budget.

  1. My oh my does this remind me of the colour appointment I had at Henley. :) Sounds like you survived:) I remember spending alot of time on the bricks as well.. however I had to do the appointment over the internet as my husband at that time was overseas! (definitely harder with the laptop and webcam !) Neway I ended up travelling to a house that had been built with the type of brick that I wanted and it was worth it because it's different seeing it on a house as opposed to a small section! :) Anyway enjoy this process:)
